Application Scope:
The vertical cell compression and nail penetration test machine is mainly used for safety performance testing of power batteries, battery modules, and related products. This equipment can simulate various conditions that batteries may experience when subjected to external compression forces or penetration by sharp objects, thereby evaluating the safety performance of the batteries.
Principle Description:
The battery is placed between two compression and nail-penetration plates. Pressure is applied to the battery to be compressed and penetrated. After reaching a specified pressure, the plates return to their initial position, or—according to test requirements—the battery is compressed until a certain deformation occurs, held under pressure for a specified period, and then further compressed and/or penetrated.
