Flywheel Speed Test Machine

Scope of Application:

This machine is suitable for testing the mechanical properties of automotive flywheels, including torsional fatigue, bending fatigue, rotational fatigue, fatigue life, bending life, torsional stiffness, and other related performance characteristics.

Product Features:

1.Energy storage and speed stabilization:The flywheel stores part of the work input to the crankshaft during the power stroke by means of its own rotational inertia. This stored energy is used during other strokes to overcome resistance and to drive the crank–connecting rod mechanism past the top and bottom dead centers, thereby making the crankshaft angular speed and output torque as uniform as possible and enabling the engine to withstand short-term overloads.

2.Driving component of the friction clutch:As the driving member of the friction clutch, the flywheel engages and disengages with the clutch, transmitting the engine’s rotational torque through the transmission to the driving wheels.

3.Starting and timing function:A flywheel ring gear is mounted on the outer rim of the flywheel and meshes with the starter motor pinion to start the engine. In addition, timing marks indicating the top dead center positions of the No. 1 and No. 6 cylinder pistons are engraved on one side of the flywheel rim, serving as a reference for checking and adjusting engine ignition timing.
