Application Scope：
Cyclic corrosion testing is a salt spray testing method that more realistically simulates real-world corrosion conditions compared with traditional constant-exposure tests. Actual outdoor exposure typically involves alternating wet and dry environments, and only by reproducing these natural, cyclic conditions does accelerated laboratory testing become meaningful.Studies have shown that after cyclic corrosion testing, the relative corrosion rate, structure, morphology, and overall corrosion behavior of test specimens closely resemble those observed under real outdoor exposure conditions. Therefore, cyclic corrosion testing provides a more realistic simulation of outdoor environments than conventional continuous salt spray tests.This testing method is effective in evaluating various corrosion mechanisms, including general corrosion, electrochemical corrosion, and crevice corrosion.
