The simulated three-level highway bump test bench reproduces the vibration environment experienced by a vehicle on the road during the testing process. It uses a frequency band approximation method to simulate wideband random vibrations. Each frequency band contains a main natural frequency and meets the power spectrum of the frequency band. The vibration parameters of the transportation table are consistent with the actual road spectrum, and the test bench’s rotation time is equal to the actual time.

Working Principle:

The simulated vehicle transportation test bench mechanically simulates the vibration environment of a vehicle on the road, reproducing this in the laboratory. The design concept is based on statistics, employing principles of probability theory and random control theory. Since the vertical vibrations of a vehicle are wideband random vibrations, it is difficult to reproduce the power spectrum mechanically. Therefore, the design uses a frequency band approximation method to simulate wideband random vibration, where each frequency band contains a natural frequency (the vehicle's natural frequency), and the power of each frequency band satisfies the following relationship:

Where:

δi_table is the root mean square (RMS) acceleration of point i on the transport table in the i-th frequency band.

δi_car is the RMS acceleration of point i in the i-th frequency band inside the vehicle.

In terms of vibration levels, the transport table and the actual vehicle are consistent. Regarding time, the transport table and the actual vehicle time are in a 1:1 ratio, meaning the experimental time matches the actual vehicle time.

The vibration on the transport table is wideband random vibration, and the technical indicators are described using parameters that characterize random vibration, which should not be confused with single-frequency sinusoidal vibrations.
