Application Scope:

This equipment is primarily used for the collection, measurement, and analysis of hazardous components in combustion smoke generated by solid materials. It is suitable for all types of plastics and can also be applied to the evaluation of other materials, such as rubber, textile coverings, painted surfaces, wood, and similar materials.The system is widely used by manufacturers in the plastics and solid materials industries, as well as by research and testing institutions. It is an essential instrument for detecting and analyzing hazardous substances in the combustion smoke of non-metallic products.


Technical Parameters:

The entire system consists of a smoke collection chamber (sealed test chamber), heating system, test box, support frame, photometer measurement system, and smoke density testing software. The circuitry is developed based on a microcontroller and controlled by a computer, featuring high technical integration and stable performance.

1.Smoke collection chamber internal dimensions:

Length 914 ± 3 mm, Width 610 ± 3 mm, Height 914 ± 3 mm.

The inner surface is coated with black, non-reflective, high-temperature-resistant and corrosion-resistant paint.

2.Structure:

Constructed of double-layer steel plates with built-in thermal insulation materials. An auxiliary heating device is installed on the rear wall of the chamber to control the internal temperature at the start of the test.

3.Chamber configuration:

The chamber is equipped with an observation window, air inlet, smoke exhaust outlet, gas sampling port, compressed gas cylinder connection, and explosion-proof safety device.

4.Air tightness:

After injecting compressed air into the test chamber, the pressure drop from a 76 mm water column to a 50 mm water column must be maintained for 5 minutes.

5.Smoke collection chamber material:

Three-layer structure:Outer layer: 1.5 mm thick steel plate with high-temperature electrostatic baked off-white paint,Middle layer: 60 mm thick asbestos insulation layer,Inner layer: 1.2 mm thick SUS 304 stainless steel with high-temperature baked black paint,

6.Air inlet and smoke exhaust outlet:

The air inlet is installed on the top of the smoke collection chamber with a diameter of Φ65 mm.

The smoke exhaust outlet is installed at the lower left side with a diameter of Φ80 mm, controlled by an imported solenoid valve for opening and closing, and equipped with an exhaust fan.


Standards Compliance:

Complies with the requirements of GB/T 8323.1, GB/T 8323.2, ISO 5659-2:2012, BS 6401, and other relevant standards for the determination of the smoke generation characteristics of plastics under specified conditions.
