Scope of Application:
The open mixing mill, commonly referred to as an open-type plastic mixing machine and often called a two-roll mill in plastic product factories, is one of the earliest plastic compounding machines used in the plastics industry.In calendering production lines, the open mixing mill is installed before the calender and after the internal mixer. Its function is to further mix and plasticize uniformly blended raw materials, providing a well-plasticized and homogeneous molten compound for the calender to form plastic products.In cable compound production, the open mixing mill can directly plasticize pre-formulated and mixed powdered materials into a molten state, then press them into sheet or strip form, which is subsequently pelletized by a granulator.In flooring (PVC sheet/leather) production lines, the open mixing mill can directly supply uniformly mixed and plasticized base coating materials for fabric-backed flooring products. It can also be used to re-plasticize and recycle waste plastic films or sheets.
Structural Features:
1.Water-cooling system: The roll surface temperature is controlled through a circulating water-cooling system, allowing the surface temperature to reach ambient or water temperature while ensuring uniform temperature distribution.
2.High-strength roll material: The rolls are made of vanadium–titanium alloy chilled cast iron, with a roll hardness of HRC 50–60. The surface is hard, wear-resistant, and highly durable. The roll inner cavity is precision-machined to ensure rapid and uniform cooling of the roll body.
3.Manual gap adjustment with digital display: The machine adopts manual roll gap adjustment with a digital display, making adjustment intuitive and convenient. Thickness control from 0.1 to 6 mm is precise, ensuring easy operation and a high safety factor.
4.Comprehensive emergency braking system: The machine is equipped with an emergency braking system. In case of emergency, a total of seven safety control switches are available, including emergency switches at all four corners, rear foot switch, front top safety pull bar, and rear top safety pull bar, allowing multiple operators to activate braking and stop the machine quickly.
5.Automatic reverse function: When any abnormal condition occurs, pressing any emergency switch will cause both rolls to automatically reverse by 1/4 turn, significantly improving operational safety.
6.Automatic lubrication system: An automatic lubrication system ensures continuous oil supply to transmission components, preventing damage caused by missed manual lubrication. The machine adopts dual-motor drive, enabling flexible front and rear roll speed ratios and convenient operation from both sides.
7.Integrated base plate and transmission design: The machine features an integral base plate for easy installation. A single-shaft output transmission ensures high torque. Imported bearings reduce friction, resulting in lower power consumption, low noise, and precise, parallel, and controllable rubber sheet thickness.
8.High mechanical strength and durability: The entire machine is designed with high mechanical strength. The transmission system adopts dual motors with dual frequency converters, offering low noise, long service life, and stable operation.
